Australian chemist Adrian Callahan developed a fast-acting foam that tackles grime without scrubbing or harsh chemical stink — just apply, wait 60 seconds, then rinse/flush.

Do you think your toilet is clean? The uncomfortable truth might prove you wrong.
Most people clean their toilet regularly. Scrub, flush, done. It looks clean — right?
But hygiene experts warn: what you can see is only part of the story.
The real problem builds up where you can’t see it — and where no brush can properly reach:
Under the rim
Inside tiny pores in the ceramic
In mineral build-up that forms over time
That’s where an invisible layer (often called biofilm) can form — a mix of bacteria, urine scale deposits, and other residue. And this biofilm is the real hygiene issue — because standard cleaning usually only hits the surface.
Problem #1: Your toilet brush can spread bacteria
Toilet brushes can harbour huge amounts of bacteria. When you scrub, you may be spreading germs around the bowl (and onto nearby surfaces) rather than truly removing them.
Problem #2: Urine scale grows below what you can see
That “yellow line” is often just the visible part. Urine scale can harden and build up in tiny crevices, so surface scrubbing removes what’s on top while the deeper build-up keeps growing.
Problem #3: Odours don’t come from the water
That classic “toilet smell” often comes from bacteria colonies under the rim or further down in the system — which is why air fresheners only mask it for a short time.
Problem #4: Some chemical cleaners leave a film behind
Many toilet cleaners contain surfactants that can leave a thin residue. That film can attract grime, meaning the toilet looks dirty again sooner — a frustrating cycle.
Problem #5: Flushing can aerosolise bacteria
When you flush, tiny droplets can be launched into the air (“toilet plume”). They can settle on nearby items like towels, bathroom surfaces — and yes, even toothbrushes if they’re close by.
Some households deal with recurring irritations, coughs, or mystery tummy bugs without connecting the dots — but bathrooms can be a surprisingly common source, especially in shared toilets and busy family homes.
Regular toilet cleaners mostly work on the surface. They don’t consistently penetrate biofilm, reach hidden build-up under the rim, or tackle odour at the source.
So people scrub more often, use harsher chemicals — and still feel like the toilet never stays truly clean.
Adrian Callahan with his wife, Sophie — the first to test FizzClean™ at home in Australia.
The Australian chemist got a wake-up call after his wife ended up at the doctor with irritated airways following a big bathroom clean. “That’s when I realised the issue isn’t laziness,” Callahan says. “It’s the harsh products people are using.”
So he set out to build something smarter, not stronger: a micro-foam that spreads into hard-to-reach spots, breaks down grime and biofilm, tackles bacteria, and neutralises odours — without scrubbing.
That’s how FizzClean™ was born. Up next: how the foam works, why experts rate it so highly, and why so many Australians say, “I didn’t realise how dirty it really was until I used FizzClean™.”
The secret is its patented micro-foam expansion technology:
FizzClean™ creates millions of tiny foam bubbles (0.05–0.2 mm)
Those bubbles carry highly concentrated enzymes plus oxidising agents
The foam spreads on its own into hard-to-reach areas — under the rim, into pores, and tiny grooves
There, enzymes break down biofilm, while chelating agents target urine scale and limescale from within
This approach is backed by testing: the combination of enzymatic breakdown and oxidative bacteria eliminationachieved a 99.9% reduction in bacteria (confirmed by the Fresenius Institute, 2023).
Important: Unlike liquid cleaners that simply run off, the foam uses capillary action — it’s effectively drawn into hidden areas. After 20 minutes, the build-up is loosened/dissolved, and you simply rinse away what the foam has already done.
No. FizzClean™ is designed to be non-toxic, biodegradable, and pH-neutral, so you don’t get the harsh fumes or corrosive burn you see with many acid-based toilet cleaners. It’s also chlorine-free and bleach-free, with no nasty residue left behind — and it’s septic-safe.
You can use it around kids, pets, and sensitive households without needing a mask or airing out the whole bathroom.
The result:
“I’m 67 and my knees have been giving me grief for years. Scrubbing the loo was the worst — kneeling down, scrubbing like crazy, and those yellow stains under the rim still wouldn’t budge. A mate told me about FizzClean™, so I thought, ‘why not?’ I was sceptical — just sprinkle it in and wait? But after 20 minutes I flushed and honestly couldn’t believe it. The bowl was sparkling, even the stubborn limescale was gone — no scrubbing once. My knees are grateful, and the bathroom finally smells fresh.”
— Margarete S., Brisbane
“I clean regularly — I really do — but it never felt properly clean. The first time I used FizzClean™, the foam spread and I suddenly saw how much grime was hiding under the rim — stuff I could never reach with a brush. After rinsing, the toilet was bright white again. Best part? That ‘usual toilet smell’ I thought was normal completely disappeared. Now I realise it wasn’t truly clean before.”
— Thomas K., Perth
“My kids laughed when I brought home FizzClean™ — ‘Dad and his internet miracle products,’ they said. Then they watched the foam push up under the rim and the stains just lift off… and they went quiet. Now they ask for the ‘magic powder’ themselves. You chuck it in, keep watching Netflix, then rinse — done. No harsh fumes, no sore arms. I’ve got three tubs at home because I don’t want to run out.”
— Michael R., Townsville
No — it’s genuinely that easy.
Just add 1 tablespoon of FizzClean™ to the toilet, wait 20 minutes, then flush once. Done.
No scrubbing. No brush. No kneeling.
The micro-foam does the work while you do something else — which makes it ideal even if you’ve got back, knee, or joint issues.
FizzClean™ is sold only via the official online store (not Amazon, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, or other retailers) to avoid lookalike knockoffs and keep the price down. Adrian Callahan says going through retail chains would push the price up due to margins and shelf costs, so they sell direct instead.
UPDATE (Australia): The brand is running a limited-time up to 75% OFF deal right now — only on the official website. Stock for discounted orders is moving fast and the promo can end at any time, so if you want the best price, grab it today while it’s still live.
“FizzClean™ keeps selling out for a reason,” says Adrian Callahan. “Made in Australia, lab-tested, and precisely dosed — we don’t mass-produce at the expense of performance. It’s sold out 7 times in the last 3 month already. If it’s in stock now, don’t wait.”

I'm 67 and have been scrubbing my toilet for decades. My husband laughed when I ordered this foam... but after 20 minutes his jaw dropped. The limescale under the rim that I'd been fighting for YEARS just rinsed away. No scrubbing at all. I'm genuinely shocked 😳
Same experience here! The brown stains in my rental property toilet are finally gone. Tried everything from Bunnings before this.
Is this just expensive soap with fancy marketing? I've seen so many "miracle cleaners" that turn out to be rubbish. What makes this different?
I was sceptical too, David. The difference is the enzymatic formula - it actually breaks down the biofilm and urine scale chemically, not just covers it. The foam expands into areas a brush can't reach. I've used regular cleaners for years and this genuinely works differently.
Fair question mate. I'm a plumber and I've recommended this to clients now. The micro-foam actually penetrates the ceramic pores - cheap foams just sit on top. You can literally see the difference in the brown water that comes out after.
Finally a cleaner that doesn't make me gag! I have asthma and regular toilet cleaners trigger my breathing. FizzClean has this pleasant ocean scent and NO harsh fumes. I can actually clean without opening all the windows 👏
This is so important! My mum has COPD and I've been looking for something safe for her. Does it really not have any chlorine?
@Karen No chlorine, pH-neutral (5.5-6.5), completely biodegradable. It's actually gentler than hand soap but tough on bacteria. Perfect for anyone with respiratory issues!
Why isn't this sold at Chemist Warehouse or Coles? Seems suspicious that it's only available online...
They explain this on their site - going direct means no retail markup. Chemist Warehouse would add 40-50% to the price. I actually prefer ordering direct, arrived in 3 days to Brisbane.
Also it sells out constantly because production is limited to maintain quality. When I first tried to order it was sold out for 2 weeks. Get it while the 50% sale is on!
Used it on my bathtub and shower tiles too - not just the toilet! The grout looks like it did when we moved in 8 years ago. My husband thought I'd paid for professional cleaning 😂
Wait, it works on tiles too? How do you apply it there?
@Emma Just spray it on, let it foam and expand for 10-15 mins, then rinse. The foam clings to vertical surfaces really well. Works brilliant on shower glass and sinks too!
Is this safe for septic systems? We're rural and can't use most commercial cleaners.
100% septic safe! We have a septic tank and I checked before ordering. It's biodegradable and actually uses enzymes similar to what breaks down waste naturally. Been using it for 2 months with no issues.
I have 4 kids and 3 toilets. My back and knees can't take the scrubbing anymore. This foam is genuinely life-changing for me - spray, wait, flush. That's it. Ordered my third bottle yesterday 🙌
How long does one bottle last? Trying to work out if it's actually good value.
One bottle lasts me about 6-8 weeks with 2 toilets, cleaning weekly. You only need 2-3 pumps per toilet because the foam expands so much. Way more economical than I expected honestly.
And once you do the first deep clean, maintenance is even easier. I now clean every 2 weeks and my toilet stays cleaner than when I scrubbed weekly with regular cleaners.
